By the word Evangelism we refer to the joyful news of Christianity, of the impending birth of Jesus Christ, given by the archangel Gabriel to Mary. We also refer to the ecclesiastical hermitage on March 25 in commemoration of this event.
Evangelism means the announcement of good news, and it is etymologically derived from the evangelist (= eu + angel <angel) a much older Greek word (Odyssey, pp. 152-153: as Odysseus' gospel sounds, not even [...]).
